Hi! My name is Virgil! I'm a very handsome orange and white boy as you can see. I had a bit of a rough start. See, my former owners dumped me in the back of the BJ's parking lot. They stuck me with a towel and some food and water and a sprite box to hide in, stuck between shopping carts so I couldn't get out. You can see my collar mark around my neck. I was so scared.

Why did they take off my collar and leave me there? I was lucky enough to be spotted by a good samaritan who called Next Chance Rescue.

I have very little muscle in my back legs. I guess only I will ever know why this is. My rescuers think I may have been kept in a small cage so my muscles never developed. I am very very skinny but working on gaining weight and trusting people again.

I am super friendly most of the time but am a bit guarded still. Can you blame me?
